Sammamish photographer Chris Sollart and his wife, Lori, own and operate Chris Sollart Photography, conveniently located on the Sammamish Plateau. A master of beautiful portrait lighting, Chris specializes in fine portraiture, including:

Their home-based business includes a large, comfortable, custom-built indoor studio, as well as a lovely big backyard with several outdoor vignettes, for beautiful portraiture inside and out.

Background
Chris discovered his passion for photography at the age of 12. Every evening he would be in his tiny darkroom in the corner of his mother’s laundry room, developing film and making black and white prints. His first paying job was photographing dancers from a nearby dance school in a studio he built in his grandparents’ basement.

Experience
Chris was hired as a full-time photographer at a studio in his home state of New Jersey in 1986. Then, after attending a friend’s wedding in Seattle, he feel in love with Washington and was hired by a studio here, where he worked for several years before striking out on his own. He has had his own studios for the last 20 years.

Awards and Certifications
Chris also has extensive experience with all types of commercial photography and was certified in 1989 as a professional by The Professional Photographers of America. He has also earned the degree of Associate Fellow of Photography from the Seattle Professional Photographers Association. He has won over 25 first-place awards and has had the honor of judging several photography competitions.

Open-Air Studio
Chris’s spacious and well-equipped studio is a relaxing and comfortable environment to create portraits since the weather is of no concern. However, he is also glad to work at any location you desire.
